(Latin for teacher's web)- I'm no spider but I can tat a web. I started learning tatting (shuttle) and Latin the same year - MCMLXXIX.
Oh, yes! It definitely counts. What a great gift to give people! I love the way you make your tassels.
Thanks- I used to hate making them but then saw a video from Rachael which made them SO easy that now I love them.
These are sweet!Fox : )
That is a nice heart. and you have used such pretty colors.I like the variations in how you do your tails too.
These are wonderful! I'm curious about the thread. It makes nice tassels!
The top three are a Messy Jess!y. I always think of cotton candy when I use it and wish we could get Jess to make it regularly.
5 Quick Things.#1. Yes, that definitely counts.#2. What is the top thread? I hate the color purple, but I actually love that thread! I *must* be losing my mind, LOL. It's so pretty! (I really like the second one, too, but methinks that might be 'Rootbeer Float' so I didn't feel incredibly compelled to ask...). #3. Add 'can make tassels' to the reasons for which I am jealous of you. :-P#4. Top picture, second bookmark down: You missed a loop while cutting the tassel! Double :-P :-P#5. They are truly lovely! The tatting is great, of course, *rolls eyes*, and I love the spiral chain (more to the point, I love that added detail of the little 'diamond'. It really takes them to another level). I wonder how these would look as a book-sling, with an elastic attached to the chain and the bottom of the heart... Get on it, Lady! I want to know if it would work! LOL. ;-)♥,Stephanie Grace
The top thread is a Messy Jess!y and I'm going to start a campaign to get her to make it consistently. It looks just like cotton Candy. And no calories! The other thread is from a young gal whose blog has been inactive for a long time. Anika tried her hand at dyeing threads for a while and I loved them all. It looks just like chocolate- yum (and again no calories). Is all my tatting food related? Hmm.Must go find that tassel and fix it!Book sling? now there's a thought.I used to hate tassels until I saw the easiest ever how to video from Rachael from inTatters. Oh my goodness, so easy now I can hardly wait to do them!
Great, now I want cotton candy and a root beer float. I wish I would have read this earlier. I could've ordered from the pizza place and gotten zeppoles... at least it would have kept with the carnival food theme. LOL. I miss Anika! Her creativity is astounding! (Yes, I know you said chocolate, but I like root beer better.). I like the book sling idea. The heart could either sit on the spine or inside the book, or even at the back or front of the book, depending on the size of the book ...and there's less of a chance of losing it. :-) Get that little hamster in your head running on his wheel so we can see how it works, LOL. I'm going to have to look the video up ... once I get through some of my 'To Do' list. *rolls eyes* It's a mile long and I just spent a good chunk of today an yesterday knitting a dishcloth, LOL. Ya know, because when the pile of WsIP is three feet tall, it means you need to do something else... Ugh.♥,Stephanie Grace
Lovely heart and great quick pattern, it's nice to have a pattern that you can just do without thinking about. Mine is a butterfly like you when I am not doing anything and have some thread on a shuttle I just do one. Lovely coloursMargaret
Die Herzen sehen sehr schön aus!Liebe Grüße Cornelia
Really really pretty...must go look up that video and pattern now... :-)
gratias maximas- it's wonderful to hear what you have to say!
